Variable Prices in product Price Table

Hi All,

Bit of a newbie to Power BI and I am definitely a novice when it comes to DAX. I am looking for some help to solve a problem that I thought would be fairly straightforward.

I have prepared a PBI Report to calculate paint usage by a number of variables for a Color Card manufacturer. I then added a second page to calculate the cost per product/customer based on product prices imported from a separate excel file (copy below). So far so good. The solution I now need to find is how to calculate the cost per product/customer if the product price changes. I have shown an example in the attached excel sheet. I am open to suggestions in relation to how to input the data in excel and then the DAX expressions used to calculate the cost per product based on variable product price e.g. Product price of €3.07 for Mar-Jun and updated to €3.25 from 15/06/2020 forward.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You'll want to explore the "What if?" parameter feature in Power BI.

This is doable but requires a careful setup of the model. You have to create a proper star-schema with correct dimensions and fact table(s). As much as I can tell, It's not something that would be easy to implement here, no the forum.
