TOTALYTD resetting at the Year

I do not want YTDTotal to "reset" the running total at the end of each year. Is there a way to keep the total running for the whole dataset?

I've tried adding an index column and filtering the dataset to calculate when Index < MAX Index but that returned a blank column. Code used:

Appreciate the resources, but the TITHW examples do not take into account that I'd like to create a running total regardless of the date. Any suggestions for that?

You would need to add 'ALL(Backlog)' to remove All-table contexts in your Total filter context (FILTER) or ALLSELECTED(Backlog) to respect your slicers on your report.

My report does not have any slicers applied. Is the below correct?

Sum of NetChange running total in Index =

CALCULATE(

SUM(Backlog[NetChange]), FILTER(All(Backlog), Backlog[Index]< MAX(Backlog[Index])))

Yes, this is just to remove filters on date to accumulate over all time.
