Cross filtering from one table to another, but not vise versa

Dear All,

In a pbi report, I have 2 tables, when I select a record from one table, the second table shows the related records. But when I select a record from the second table, then nothing is shown in the first table

How to make sure reords are shown as well when I select a record from the second table?

You are describing behavior that is more at home with QlikSense. in Power BI you need to contort your data model into a *:* bidi relationship nightmare.

Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.

What you're experiencing is due to the way visual interactions are configured in your Power BI report. By default, selecting a row in one visual can affect others, but only if the interaction is enabled for both directions.

In your case, it looks like the left table "Direct Revenue" is set to filter the right table "Through Partner Revenue", which is why that part works. However, when you click on the right table, the left one doesn’t respond most likely because the interaction from right to left is turned off.

To fix this click on the Through Partner Revenue table then go to the Format tab in the Power BI ribbon and choose Edit interactions. There you’ll now see filter icons on other visuals. Make sure the Direct Revenue table has the filter icon (funnel) selected, not the “no interaction” icon (circle with a line through it).

Once this is set, both tables should respond to each other's selections.
