Using a disconnected table will then require the use of that table as the slicer, which won't work for my case.

Ultimately, what I'm trying to obtain is a why to "mask" the names dynamically based on the selection within a slicer. If the selection is within the row of the table visual, only show that name, otherwise mask it as "Supplier A", "Supplier B", etc. This may not be very straightforward as initially assumed, but I appreciate any guidance you might provide.

Persistent Slicer Value Negating Row Context of Same Field

Somewhat straightforward need: using a table and a slicer with disabled interactions between the two, return the value that's filtered within the slicer as a persistent value within the table when using the same field as a row. Essentially, what I need is the following:

Slicer - Field Used and Resulting Value
Supplier	Supplier C

Table Visual
Supplier	Slicer Selection
Supplier A	Supplier C
Supplier B	Supplier C
Supplier C	Supplier C
Supplier D	Supplier C
Supplier E	Supplier C
Supplier F	Supplier C

So again, I need to utilize the slicer as the value for "Slicer Selection" as a persistent value while also using the same field (Supplier) on the rows. I've tried SELECTEDVALUE but that just returns the row context, hence the same value as the first column. I've tried a mix of ALL and ALLEXCEPT, but the row context kicks back in when coupling that with SELECTEDVALUE to get the slicer selection. I have yet to try a disconnected table, but would that be a viable solution here? Any suggestions? Thanks!

That's due to it being a new measure/field, and not limited to the On-Object Interaction. Try replicating in the previous version, you should get the same result.

Right-clicking will bring up the aggregation options, similiar to the field dropdown from previous versions. The ">" next to the field is a bit misleading as the aggregations should be found within that area versus an additional (hidden) step.

On-Object is useless without the ability to change field aggregations; there's no option to change it after you "Add Data" in the field well. Instead, you either need to live with it, or change the summarization type of the column/field itself, which is not ideal and not sustainable with multiple visuals needing independent aggregations over the same field.

M Code for Checking if SQL Returns Any Data PRIOR to Loading

Is there a way to check if a SQL query used for import returns any records prior to loading? We are experiencing a few blank reports and I'd rather show "stale"/yesterday's data versus a completely blank report. Essentially if no data returned via the initial SQL, stop the refresh, don't load, keep the old data. I don't have incremental refresh, simply a regular scheduled refresh (daily; morning).

I tried flipping back to the 'old' format pane, and while the toggle is activated it doesn't show the slider as it used to (ie, without the absurdly large slider circles). Are you seeing the same? There doesn't appear to be alternatives in the form of custom visuals I could pivot to, unfortunately.

I've tried searching forums on this and found FILTER, CALCULATE, RELATED, combo of everything and nothing appears to be working for what I'm trying to accomplish.

Goal: Determine total rebate dollars based on a supplier and brand, but NOT based on a hard-coded supplier or brand, nor based on a slicer selection. Well, not exclusively at least.

See my screenshot of example data, along with the desired output(s).

This is ideally how I'd like to see the data day over day. I'd also like to have the ability to filter out only those in which have changes (outside of those with zero's or blanks).

I've also put in a filter for Supplier so that should help reduce the anomalies, but I still need the filterable flag.

That works, but it doesn't factor each supplier. Meaning, it will look across all suppliers to see if there's a change overall, not looking at one supplier for the available dates. We're getting close though.

That would work if there was one sku, I believe, but I have thousands. Therefore, I get an error of "a single value for column 'Cost' cannot be determined". Any ideas?

I'm trying to track any/all price changes over a period of time across multiple suppliers. In doing so, I pivoted the data with the Date in the columns, SKU in the rows, and Cost within the values. That works perfectly for my needs, but I also need a flag that indicates if there's a change in price per SKU/row. I tried doing a MAX minus MIN for each line, which worked, but that wouldn't factor Supplier so it would compare all.

Here's a sample of the unpivoted data, with the highlighted portion being what I need to trigger a flag comparing day-over-day changes at both the SKU and Supplier level:
