I was hoping to figure out the rolling month for every single start execution date, for example, if that execution time is, 23/9/2018 I'd like to see the average between 23/9/2018 and 23/8/2018 . if it is 23/8/2018, then id like to see the average between 23/8/2018 nd 23/7/2018 do you get what I mean? I was hoping to use a stacked column chart to show this and it should look like the bars are smoothly rolled like a snake not like a sky cit scraper look if you get what I mean

those columns are from a table called Task Execution. Also I am using a regular Calendar Date table. THanks!

...and the date that is a month behind that single date, if you get what I mean. Basically I am trying to get a rolling month that calculates the average minutes it takes to execute a task. if you need any clafications etc let me know! Thanks

thanks, figured it out yesterday :) first one works perfectly, while taking into account the week starting from mon to sunday.

Not exactly sorry, with the blog it looks like the values have to be put in manually. I was hoping if there was some way of creating a generateseries between two columns that would do that automatically, but the way I'm thinking about this could be wrong.

what i was hoping as a result would be, for example, if this was the table:

type of hours start type of hours end generateseries column

9am 5pm 9, 10, 11, 12, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

7pm 7pm 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19

There a lot of hours that are flexible depending on the helpdesk service provided and what hours count in a contract signed by a customer. Sometimes this will need to be updated and I don't think I have time to keep doing this manually, do you get what I mean?

Using the GENERATESERIES function between two columns

Hey Guys,

So I know that in a calculated column you can use a function called generate series, so if you put in values 1, 5. This will count the values in increments by 1(by default). so the values in the calculated column would look like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.

I was thinking if it's possible to do that between two time data type columns. Or if there's another way to do this can anyone help?

I want a calculated column that counts the time between 9am to 5pm in hour increments.

So I was thinking something like generateseries (incidents[SLA Start Time], incidents[SLA finish time])

not all hours are going to be same value, this will change, which is why I was thinking if there's a way to use the columns instead of a single value like (9, 5)

Might have to use multiple calculated columns or measured for this :/ the hours have to also exclude hours in the weekend

Example: Helpdesk has a limited amount of hours before they have to actually respond to a customer, otherwise they'd have to pay the customer if that condition of hours is not met. The things is, only business hours count, which are 9 am to 5pm. So if I client called at 6pm and helpdesk responds at 9am, the hours between 6pm and 9am don't count towards the conditioned hours. The number of the conditioned hours are only counted within business hours.

anyone know how to do this? lol. I'm guessing some sort of filtering but I'm not very good with structuring my dax

How do you convert a number to hours in power query?

I am struggling. Does anyone know a function or anything that will help me to convert text type data into duration type data (hours). I used the duration feature in power query but it changes to day duration type by default. When I tested the numbers despite using total hours from duration, it looks like power query is still using day duration type by default. I would like to use hour duration type data, if anyone can help I'd be soo happy :)

I can see the tables that I need and I've applied several steps in power query. But when I add more applied steps are done, that error pops up? The error pops up after a few changes have been made not right from the beginning as I suspect would be the case if I didn't have access to it

Anyone know how to handle this error? I am connecting to CRM(ticketing system) through an oDatafeed, however, this isn't a data problem I don't think. It's a problem with power BI as I have the access I need for CRM. Anyone know what's up with this?

My speed connection with CRM odata feed is very slow, there are no wifi issues, my wifi is working well and fast. Apparently there was an update to CRM whch has caused it to slow down but would anyone know how to fixt this?

How do you replace one value only in a column?

Hi, I have a column of nulls, but the replace values feature replaces all values that have a null. Is there a way to just replace one of those nulls?

Thanks! But the DAX only returns measures not columns? Would I have to create some sort of measure for the DAX to accept the Created On column>
