Connectivity of Tibco DV through PowerBI

Hi All,

We are using Tibco Data Virtualization to create 'Views' and those Views must act as a data source in Power BI.

But I am not sure how to establish a connection between Tibco DV and Power BI.

Can someone please help us out?

Hi Angelia,

The two columns are from two different tables and there is a relationshiop between them.
When I select manually Employee Name 'ABC' , the second slicer filters down to 1 but I have to manually go to the slicer and select '1' ; instead of manually selecting, I want that slicer to automatically display '1' (just like a Card visual displays it without having to manually go and select the value).

Power BI Slicer Issue

Hi All,
I am facing an issue in Power BI where there are two slicers and the user can use any one to filter the report.
Consider, Slicer 1 - Employee Name and Slicer 2 - Employee ID
Employee Name Employee ID
ABC 1
XYZ 2

If the user opts for Employee Name and selects 'ABC', then the Employee ID slicer visual should auto
populate to 1 and so on.
Can anyone please help me out on this?

Hi,

I am facing the same issue again. I am using Direct Query and the source is Azure SQL Database.

For some visuals it works fine, but for others, it shows error 'couldn't retrieve the data for this visual. please try again later.'

Could someone please help me out?

In my case, the erase button is not working, neither in desktop nor in service
Hope the issue resolves soon!

There is a Many to one relationship between the two tables.

Using related() function in the above DAX expression on the one side table gives an error -"Lookupvalue expects column reference as its argument"

Hi,
I am creating a report where I need to display the current data and the previous data for a field (Consider
Report Number in this case)
I am able to display data for current report number.

For Previous report number, I created a calculated column :
Previous Report Number = LOOKUPVALUE(Table1[Report Number], Table1[Index],Table1[Index]-1)

Similarly, to display the data based on previous report number, I have created calculated columns for all
fields that needs to be displayed(Consider name in this case) using the DAX expression:
Previous_data = LOOKUPVALUE(Table2[Name], Table1[Index],Table1[Index]-1

The above expression changes according to the columns to be displayed
But I am getting an error "a table of multiple values was supplied where a single value was expected"
for some of the columns. For others, it is working fine.
Can someone please help me?
