% of Total ignoring filter on visual but maintaining filter on page

Hi all,

Apologies for the confusing title, it will probably be more clear just to explain my issue.

I am working on a credit card reporting dashboard. I have a data set with years worth of data and a page that shows the data for the current statement date (~1 month worth of transactions). The top chart shows spending by category, total, for the statement date. The bottom chart shows the top 10 vendors. (as you can see I have blocked out the categories and vendor names).

For the percent of total column on the bottom chart, is there a way to show this as the % of total of the total amount? (ie 31,074 would be the denominator instead of 21,758, the first vendor line would be 20.5% and the total at the bottom would read 70% (21,758/31074)

Currently the report is set up to have the whole page filtered to the statement date (there are other visuals on this page) and the second chart is filtered at the visual level to show the top 10 vendors.

Thanks in advance for the help! Screenshot attached

Have powerbi run a macro in excel

Hi all,

Is there any way to have a command in power bi that runs a macro in an excel workbook? I have a dashboard linked to an excel spreadsheet with info and live stock prices. When I refresh power bi it will only refresh to the last time the excel workbook was refreshed (ie. I would have to refresh the excel data and then go into power bi and refresh to get the updated data.) I have a very simple macro that I use to refresh market data in excel, is it possible to have something where: I refresh data in power bi > that trips the macro in excel to run (update prices) > have those updated prices pull into power bi.

Thank you in advance,

Dynamic stacked column chart aggregate values vs holdings values

Hi all, first time poster here so apologies if there are any answers to this question out there (havent found any yet). I am using a stacked column chart to show a breakdown of total Fair Market Value of some funds. This FMV is broken down into Cost Basis and Unrealized P/L with the total being equal to the FMV of the portfolio. When clicking on a holding I would like the y axis to rescale to the show the breakdown of the individual holding, rather than the whole portfolio. Ive attached some images below, any help would be much appreciated.

ie. in the second picture I would want to show just $5.9M in Cost Basis and $12.3M in P/L with a total of $18.2M, rather than having it still show as a proportion of the total portfolio.

Thanks All!
