topic Power BI premium to embed content? in Developer

Hi! I searched through the forum and powerbi docs and couldn't find an answer so I'm Posting here.

I want to embed reports for non-PowerBI users and the documentation says I would need a Premium Tier on my app workspace. But I followed the instruction and I was able to make the example at: https://github.com/Microsoft/PowerBI-Developer-Samples the one that says "App owns data" (so user don't have to log in with PowerBI to view the report) work. I was able to make that work without a premium account so I was wondering if I don't adquire a premium tier for my app workspace what will happen? It will stop working someday does it have some limits on concurrent views or something?

I'm analyzing the PowerBI solution for the company I work and Premium pricing is prohibitive here in my country.

I want to embed reports for non-PowerBI users and the documentation says I would need a Premium Tier on my app workspace. It will stop working someday does it have some limits on concurrent views or something?

I'm analyzing the PowerBI solution for the company I work and Premium pricing is prohibitive here in my country.

alexsaez

I am able to as well.

Actually I've consulted this in internally and got the response. Currently there is no throttle because EM capacity are not available yet, but in the near future, EM capacity will need to be used for production embedded usage.

https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-premium/#capacity-tiers (search EM1)

Since in that link, the EM nodes show Availability in "July 2017", so I guess very soon a premium license will be required for Embedding with non-Power BI users.
