PowerBI Integration and PowerBI Embedded in D365FFO OneBox environments

We have many OneBox environments of Dynamics 365 FFO used for either testing or demo purposes.

Currently, as to my understanding, PowerBI Integration is not available in OneBox environments.

PowerBI Embedded does work however requires an Azure SQL Database (seperate) and the Workspace Collections.

With the transition towards PowerBI Embedded, will this work in a OneBox environment?

Do you know any about this topic? Now on August it doesnt work our demo onebox enviroment. It was working 2 weeks ago.

"Power BI Workspace Collections is being retired. Migrate to Power BI Embedded by June 30, 2018, for continued support of embedded analytics in your app. By migrating, you’ll avoid service disruptions and gain an improved experience through the simplified API surface.

After June 30, 2018, visuals embedded through Power BI Workspace Collections will no longer be viewable in your apps. Application data will be available in the Power BI Workspace Collections service until December 31, 2018. By transitioning to Power BI Embedded, you can ensure that your app users will still be able to view embedded visuals, and you’ll have continued access to your data.

Note that customers with an Enterprise Agreement signed before June 2017 will have until the end of that agreement to migrate to Power BI Embedded. Dynamics 365 customers who are not on an Enterprise Agreement have been granted a one-year extension, so retirement will take place on June 30, 2019."

So you know, after my latest interaction with a Microsoft tech, I was told that PowerBI and PowerBI Embedded were no longer supported in OneBox environments.

Yay!
