questions regarding custom visuals

Hi all ,

Due to some internal needs we need to develop some custom charts ( Organizational chart) , I would appreciate if you can provide me some helpful tips and answers to the below questions in order to figure out from where we can start :

1- what skills one should have in order to develop a chart in power BI ?

2- what language is used to develop a chart in power BI ?

3- what are the required tools ?

Please let me know if there are some existing models of organizational charts with the source code and share with me some links that might help .

Hi Anonymous,

Anwsering your questions:

Developer should know front-end technologies such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML, etc.
Custom visuals are usually developed by using TypeScript and LESS.
Any IDE that supports TypeScript. We'd recommend to use Visual Studio Code.
