Private filters

Hi,

I am using Powr BI Embedded

My question comes in 2 parts. I have a dashboard that shows data for various regions, which is to be visible by all senior managers. However they want each regional manager to be able to see the same dashboard but with only data from their region. I know I can set up copies of the dashboard with each one pointing to a database table specific to their region but:

1. Is it possible to filter the data by region, with that filter being hidden so that the regional managers cannot change it;

2. Pass a variable to the report from the calling mechanism so that Power BI knows how to filter the data.
