Not sure if this is the right place but PBI Version: 2.126.1261.0 is missing the parameter option when connecting to an SQL server. I did enable and reenable the preview feature "field parameters". ...
Found the solution.
There is an extra option added under "Power Query Editor"
Once checked the parameters are back 🙂
