Unable to upload .pbix into workspace

Previously, we would use the New > Upload a file functionality in our workspace to overwrite .pbix reports that are attached to a dashboard with new data/fields that were unable to be changed via the web application. However, we no longer see .pbix as an upload option, only excel or manual entries. The upload > browse functionality has a tendancy to cause issues with existing visualisations, even if the .pbix we would overwrite the previous iteration with had no related changes.

    When I try to upload from SharePoint all I get is a grey (blank) screen. This is happening for 3 different tenants on 2 different machines. Is there an admin setting I'm supposed to enable?
