Problem connecting to Marketplace

The dashboard was working properly and this week when it starts it shows the message that it cannot connect to the Marketplace. We tried it from different locations with the same result. Any ideas?

    Hi Anonymous,

Which Marketplace did you mean? Was the report authored in Power BI desktop originally?

It looks like the issue is related to the data source settings. I would suggest you go to dataset settings in Power BI service, respecify credentials for data sources.

Hi v-qiuyu-msft , thanks for letting me know

The message mentions the marketplace that I understand will be Power Bi. Attached capture

The report works in Power Bi Desktop and has several visual components made in Charticulator. They were working fine until this past week when we noticed this message.

I have removed all the components created and checked the permissions of the data sources however the message persists every time I open the report.

Could you give me some more guidance on finding the root of the problem?

    Hi @v-qiuyu-msft

It seems that successive modifications of the Charticulator component, loading it back into the dashboard, results in objects that remain in the file, and even if they are not used, they are there.

At some point, it gives the impression that the reference was lost and tried to load a component that was not really showing the message that could not connect to the Market (we understand that to try to load the component that really did not have).

Solution: we have remounted the report from scratch (including the data connections) in a new file and with the definitive components (including those of Charticulator). The file significantly reduced its weight (from 8mb to 1.5mb) and is already working properly 😅.

We are happy that it is already working properly, but unfortunately we have not reached any conclusions that would allow us to really diagnose the problem.

I would like to have more information to analyze (for example) the events traced in the diagnostic file generated by PowerBi.

    Any guidance is welcome.

    Hi Anonymous,

It looks like the issue happens in Power BI desktop. To find more information about the error, you can choose File > Options and settings > Options, select Diagnostics, and then select Enable tracing, then open report in Power BI desktop till the issue occurs.
