Status changed:AcceptedtoDoneHi hcardenas19,
According to the reply from the product group, this issue is caused by design. Users of Power BI published to web reports are not authenticated, which is required to run the flow. They will updated documentation for this unsupported scenario.

Dear v-cazheng-msft ,
I am encountering I believe the exact same issue regarding a Power Bi report which is embedded into a custom made application. Here I receive the following message " VM183:1 Uncaught (in promise) Visual [FlowVisual_C29F1DCC_81F5_4973_94AD_0517D44CC06A] is not authorized". Is this indeed the same issue of which is spoken of in this thread. If so, I am looking forward for the documentation update, Anyway we can speed up this proces to have some sort of a vote poll?

Hello. I see this thread is one year old, but no update have been included. Was the issued solved? I know there is a way to make this work because I have seen it in the past, but I can't find any documentation.

We have run into this same brick wall.
- Created a PowerAutomate flow that is triggered by Power BI button. (The flow simply refreshes the underlying dataset. Nothing fancy.)
- Shared above flow with our Power BI embedded service principal (authentication model: service principal owns data)
- Added Power Automate button to Power BI report, linked to the above flow object.
- Published to Power BI service.
- The button correctly executes from the native report (in app.powerbi.com), but hangs when triggered from our Power BI embedded application. Here is the error trace:
This is a bit lame, Microsoft.
