It claims Windows 7 is still supported:

The installer also doesn't check or warn that Windows 7 won't work. 

Same here. Installing on a windows 7 pc - not a server. What is the solution? I need Power BI up today and dropping this update with bad info is a MAJOR FAUX PAS that needs to rectified immediately.

Still had the February update. Had to uninstall Power BI Desktop entirely first. Big waste of time.
