Needs Info

Microsoft .NET Framework. Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application.

Does this look familiar to anyone? 

 

I have no idea why this would start apprearing when launching the desktop application. 

Once this appears at launch, which is everytime, the whole program is frozen. I have to force quit.

    Please try to reinstall .NET 4.5 or later on your PC. And latest Sep 2017 version of Power BI Desktop is suggested to be installed.

    Hi Herbert, it didn't however the issue has gone away now. At the time, .NET 4.5 or later was already installed. All I can say for certain is give it some time and it goes away. Perhaps it was something to do with OneDrive? Not sure, but it doesn't seem to be a very common issue.
