Matrix Column Auto-size

Hi there,

 

So similar to tables and matrixs' there is an option on the new matrix preview to turn on or off column auto-sizing. Even after I turn this off in the preview though it seems to still resize when I drill up/down. This is the only step preventing me from moving a report from Excel into PBI Desktop right now since it makes it difficult to size the object if it constantly widens and narrows.

    I can repro the same issue as you. I’ve reported it internally to Power BI Team: CRI 32918570
    I’ll post here once I get any update about it.

    I’ve got response from the Product Team.

     

    By Design, not implemented for the Preview Matrix yet. Should be out in Apr or May version of Power BI Desktop.

    Hi,

    I have the same issue I tried to reize everything again, also change all the settings for the auto-size. but everytime I select a filter or something the size of the columns changed.

     The ability to size a column and have it stick is still not fixed with the July release of "New Matrix" for general use. Here's a SnagIt screen capture video that shows the conversion of an old matrix to a new one and the issue of sizing that results.  (AutoSize is off.)

     

    Clearly it's not working and it's regretably a pretty big issue on an otherwise fabulous upgrade to the Matrix.

    Hi. 

     

    This is really causing me problems here. I have a report which relies on Matrix and it is very ugly right now because of it.

     

    Any comments from the Team? Amanda or anyone?

     

    This calls for another fix update. 

     

    I was looking for a Matrix Custom visual and couldn't find any also.

     

    Please help!
