legend field on map visual not working since may update

I compare/test the options and functions under legend, there is no difference based on my test. Please refer to my screenshots below. Please let me know if your problem is a different one.

Not sure the color range you mentiond above is Diverging. It also works well in both versions.

I use a range (a group consisting of bins) in the legend field. Normally (unless i'm mistaken) i can specify wich color is given to each of those bins. Currently I can not do this anymore.

This has worked in the past (the visual is still working as it should) but now I am missing this option. so reproducing this chart is impossible, as is changing the colors.

I can't do anything in this 'legend' field. When I try to change the color it just jumps back etc. (I would expect my bins to show up here as well so i can change color individually)

If you want to customize color for each point, you can go to Format - Data colors to define the color as below.

This option is not available for me when i use a 'group'. That's what the post is about.

Also, I'm on the latest version. You are on the april version. I can't switch back because the file can not be opened from an older version (tried and failed).

I noticed something strange when playing around with it (new files, ...) when I first add the group to the legend field the 'Data Colors' option is available. However, as soon as I touch the 'Legend' option in the format tab the 'Data Colors' option disappears, never to be seen again...

I'm using the latest May 2017 version of Power BI Desktop now. But I am still not able to repro the issue even using group. Please refer to my screenshot below. The legend and data colors options are both available in the Format pane.

Could you please provide you PBIX file to me? Maybe I can have a try locally with your file. You can upload it to online file service like OneDrive and then share it.

I can't provide you with the actual file (confidential). Have you tried clicking the 'legend' off and on again? I found this to trigger the dissappearance of data colors. (after wich the 'legend' options doesn't work anymore either)

Good catch... I can repro the same issue as you. I’ve reported it internally to Power BI Team: CRI 37115092
I’ll post here once I get any update about it.
