It appears that MAtrix and Tables have incosistent application of gridline thickness. The grid in the matrix below should be 1 accross the table but it clearly appears to have at least two different thickness applying

So what you're saying is that the line on the outer circle and the line on the inside, even though the WIDTH is the same, the actual effect looks like the line on the outside is thicker, right? What version of Desktop do you have?

It's not just the the outside line being thicker. In my screenshot the first three columns are three different measures added in columns yet they all have a different grid width on the line on the right of the number.

The feedback from the PG team was "It's a rendering artifact from zooming in or out. If a one pixel gridline is zoomed at 150%, then it's now 1.5 pixels wide, which may render on 1 or 2 physical pixels on the monitor."
It is recommended that users can reduce the severity of this effect by increasing the thickness of the gridlines.
