So I am logged in/authenticated with PowerBI/Microsoft both in the PBI Desktop app (on the VM) and in the browser (on the VM). I can access the dataset and run reports in both environments... so I am assuming I have full permissions but running into the error below when I hit 'Transform data', which prompts me to create a local model as shown in the screenshot above.
Not sure where to go from here.
