Data Source error: Column not found in rowset

Hi

I have connected sharepoint file as one of the data sources to my pbix file. The file is expected to have dynamic columns. I'm using parameterization to bring those dynamic columns into my table visuals on the report. Report refresh works fine in desktop app and was working fine in power bi service until the April release. Refresh fails with this error in service:

  • Data source errorThe 'xxxx' column does not exist in the rowset. Table: A.

Could I please report this as a bug, thanks

Can you provide detailed version information so we can reproduce the issue? We'll get back to the product team as soon as it's acknowledged as an issue!
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Anonymous

I believe I've just found the potential issue causing this refresh error, at least in desktop. I'm not entirely sure if this is the case in PBI service. The refresh preview doesn't seem to be automatically refreshing when the source file is changed. When I close & apply, if the preview is not refreshed, it seems to load the columns available in the preview and not the updated file.

I hope this helps with the investigating the issue further. Kindly let me know of any progress you have made on your end. Thank you!
