Hello,
I am trying to utilize bookmarks on selected visuals to make a clear filter button for a report where you select the year and month with single select slicers.
The idea is that the user selects the period he's interested in, starts clicking to investigate specific issues, then clears only the clicking filters, leaving the selected period as is.
I am using bookmarks on selected visuals, with everything selected but the dropdown for month and year. The bookmark has "Data", "Display" and "Current page" option checked, and reffers to a clear state of the report.
The bookmark generally work - if the user used something to drill down another chart, the drill down clears, but the highlights of the originally clicked categories stay highlighted (see the attached photo).
I want the highlights cleared as well.
This works the proper way if you use bookmark for all visuals, but if this is for only selected ones - it breaks. Has anybody found a workaround for this?

Hi n_yanakieva,
From your description, when the user selects a value in slicer visual, click on data in treemap visual. Then you want the user to click on the bookmark to show the report with previous checked slicer value, without any interaction in treemap, right?
If it is, you can clear interaction in treemap, ensure previous checked slicer value is checked, then click on Update button for the bookmark.

Hi Qiuyun Yu,
This does not work for my scenario. The user might set the month to current month, or a specific month a year ago when the costs were high. He might want to drill down with the three visual to explore a certain spike. In the end, the clear button must clear the drill downs, but must leave the month intact - I do not have a default month to go back to.
You cannot replicate this with bookmark over all visuals - you have to exclude the month slicer.
What I did was using the exact same technology, with all visuals but the month slicer selected, with check on "Selected visuals" on the bookmark, and it shows the following bug. Again - the filters are cleared, but the visual used for selection stays grayed out.Workaround for me will be to make the clear all bookmark rolls to last finished month dynamically - for example if used today, to roll back to December 2019, and if used on 26 feb, to roll back to Jan 2020. I haven't managed to do that, except with manually updating the bookmark each month, which won't be an option.KR,Niya - ericgolf14New Member
I'm having this same issue as well. When creating bookmarks and applying to only "selected visuals", the cross-highlighting does not reset
