It is not intuitive how to turn off the Grand Total row in a matrix. If you go to Format\Grand Total, there is no option to turn it off. Instead you have to go to Subtotal\Per Row Level and then turn Header off. This is not intuitive and not discover able unless someone else shows you how to do it. - Thanks Matt for highlighting this in your P&L blog. The YouTube tutorial was excellent, but I was stumped how you turned off the Grand Total.
You can easily customize your totals and subtotals in Power BI reports using Inforiver. There is a user-friendly menu where you can change the positions of totals and subtotals for both rows and columns or turn them off. You also have an option for split sub totals. Check out this video for more details.
