Task Flows with Cross Workspace selection

Idea: Cross-Workspace Functionality for Tasks in Microsoft Fabric

Current Limitation:

• In Microsoft Fabric, we often organize work by separating datasets (semantic models) and reports/dashboards into different workspaces.
• Currently, when adding items to "Prepare" and "Visualize" tasks, users are restricted to selecting items from a single workspace.

Proposed Enhancement:

• Allow users to select and add items from multiple workspaces for a task. For example, while adding a dataset (semantic model) from Workspace 1 to the "Prepare" task, allow the user to add a report from Workspace 2 to the "Visualize" task.

Benefit:

• This would enable better collaboration across workspaces, improving flexibility for teams that separate datasets and reporting workstreams into different spaces. It also optimizes workflow efficiency by reducing the need to duplicate items across multiple workspaces.
