Please provide option to stop refreshing dataset after refreshing manually... If there are any performance issues in database this would lock down the table... I even observed that reports doesnt ...

Microsoft EmployeeWe have a feature released recently called Async refresh. It is REST API based and it offers Delete verb for cancel refresh. It’s in public preview now and feel free to give it a try if you could hook up to rest API. I’m one of the engineer working on it in 2021. Hope my work could help on this issue.
