Mapping in reporting is becoming increasing more import. Yet still ignored by SSRS. Whilst Power Bi goes a long way to addressing "some" of the issues it does not address others. Eg SSRS can apply custom shapes to a map. Cannot do that in Power BI, Power BI does play nice with USA states but not, areas here in the UK!! Power BI can zoom in and out using the mouse wheel, cannot do in SSRS SSRS has fantastic tooltips with a powerful scripting language support, Power BI has nothing..... In SSRS its possible to apply colours to maps based on parameters, not sure the same can be done in Power BI with such ease
