Short Date should be the default date format in Power BI.
I believe that no one whats to use long date in pbi... so why this one still the default format?

Agreed, but it should be customizable and default to the international format (e.g.: 2025-10-08) - ctmullinsPowerBI 1.0 should never have gone live without this as configurable.
I agree. Having Long Date as the default format makes no sense - who ever uses that?!
If Microsoft insist on keeping this unwanted format as the default, they should at least give users the option to modify it.- Very strange. This really shouldn't be difficult to implement? ISO-8061 is the standard for a reason. This should be an easy win! Default out of the box should really be YYYY-MM-DD, but an option to change via settings/config would be good enough.
