SAML Authentication support for Snowflake

SAML Authentication support for Snowflake. Tableau currently supports this would be very useful in PBI.

  • Any thoughts Microsoft? This is fully supported through the ODBC driver: https://docs.snowflake.net/manuals/user-guide/odbc-parameters.html
  • Please add an "Organizational Account" authentication option to the Snowflake connector. It would be very helpful to have the ability to use Azure Active Directory accounts against the Snowflake databases.
  • We've gotten by until now, but lack of this capability is becoming a real problem for us. Please consider!
  • We need this support for Ping based federation. This feels to me like it should be a common standard for industry in this day an age of modern data architecture, yet simple replacements for the oft criticized (and albeit a nightmare to work with at times) Kerberos SSO/pass-through authentication type capabilities remain difficult to find/implement.
