Refreshing the SQL Analytics endpoint as a feature directly in Data Pipelines
Hi!
Request: please add a standard activity for refreshing the SQL Analytics endpoint as a feature directly in Data Pipelines OR make an option (check box) in the Semantic Model refresh activity (which is in preview) to refresh connected SQL Analytics endpoint.
Problem: I have a standard activity for refreshing my Semantic Model, but the SQL Analytics endpoint which is one step before is not automatically refreshed.

The metadata sync button is already available in the UI for the SQL Analytics Endpoint for the Lakehouse. Adding a metadata sync as an activity in the Data Pipelines seems like it should be straightforward. This would avoid a lot of frustration and troubleshooting due to jobs failing or reports showing old data because the SQL Endpoint has not synced. This should be an easy fix to help with Fabric satisfaction and adoption. - knetkio

Agreed — this would be a huge help for a no-code approach. While it’s currently possible to achieve the same result by calling a notebook that refreshes the endpoint using Fabric APIs, having this as a standard activity, similar to the Semantic Model Refresh, would make workflows much simpler and more accessible for non-developers.
