It would helpful to have Rank Unique function. The existing Rankx function has only two options dense and skip. To avoid ties, another option like "Ordinal Ranking" in power query (Ordinal Ranking ranking method uses sequential number for each row of data, without concern for ties) can be included in Rankx function along with dense and skip or a new function "Rank Unique" can be brought out.
This would be helpful while calculating Running sum or cummulative total for non date columns based on Ranking. When the ranks are tied, Running sum calculation goes wrong.

Other BI software vendors have been able to do this natively for years/decades.
Currently in order to break ties, you need to add an additional calculation based on a secondary ranking of a column to the original column you are ranking by; it is very cumbersome and convoluted.
