Provide enterprise gateway support for power bi python scripting

Provide enterprise gateway support for python scripting - currently only personal gateways are supported

I strongly support this idea- I find pandas data munging capability far more succinct and intuitive to use than M and DAX so if I was able to leverage python in reports that auto refresh via our enterprise gateway I would be able to develop much better reports and consequently be more effective in demonstrating the value of power bi to my organisation..

Python data sources allow me to query APIs directly. It would be great to be able to schedule refreshes for API data sources

Seems like its not really a proper feature if you can't refresh it properly for your company, so I think this should definitely be added (good to have it for R as well)

I'm surprised this doesn't have more votes. Why even have the Python script button in the Power Query editor if it can't be scheduled for a refresh in the gateway? Python has much greater adoption when compared to M.

Python today is one of the largest programming languages, everyone needs updating via Gateway. I hope Microsoft is aware of how important it is that these timing work !!! Thanks to the whole community for adjusting this issue !!!

Please provide enterprise gateway support for Power BI python scripting to allow data refresh processes

In our organization, using Python is normally the best solution for programatically renaming columns and shaping data - especially when pulling data from Azure Cosmos DB (or anything that is JSON based).

It’s definitely nice that there is support for Pandas and even the visualisation libraries (ditto R), but as others have mentioned it would be fantastic if it were possible to schedule regular refreshes for the company as a whole. Then Power BI would truly be the one-stop shop for analytics and data science that it is clearly aiming to be.
