Metadata for Reports in App Workspace

It would be great if Published reports / pbix in an app work-space has metadata associated with it. This would help developers to interact with published reports using Power BI service Apis in some scenarios e.g. conditionally retrieving reports from app work-space based on the metadata fields. It would also be great if Power BI desktop offers some way to initialize this metadata so that report publishers gets the additional power over reports.
