Please add Collapse/Expand buttons in the Matrix Visualizations. Otherwise when all fields are expanded by default the user would have to scroll a lot to find what they are looking for. I could add a slicer to take user to the data they are looking for but then the rest of the data in the matrix disappears and more specifically the overall totals change!Expand/Collapse buttons would keep the overall totals as intended and totals for other fields while allowing the user to only expand the field they are interested in. Also ability to do conditional formatting for a specific field in the matrix would be nice. Thanks!

- nishalitNew MemberWith our November update of Power BI Desktop, you can now expand/collapse matrix row headers. You can read more on our blog: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-november-2018-feature-summary/#expandCollapse A few people were asking about column headers. As some of the work involved for column headers is different than row headers, we want to understand how many users specifically need/want column header support as well. If you need column header support, please vote on this idea that I added to UserVoice: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200/suggestions/36038050
- WENHANew MemberCurrently, we can drilldown in a matrix. But we can only see one level at a time. Is there any way to enable drilling down and see multi-level data at once? Then we can collapse or expand some levels to see less or more information. PS: Native Excel does this with PivotTable.
- kirk_nasonNew MemberWhy doesn't the Matrix object have a +/- option next to the columns / rows so they can be open and closed? Similar to Excel and SSRS
- sean365New MemberThe Matrix View is kind of like the original Pivot Table was - meaning in Tabular Form. If you guys can - please not only add the Expand/Collapse buttons but also the option to show in Compact Form which has been the default Pivot Table View for a while now. Interestingly Excel still provides the option under PivotTable Tools Design tab => Report Layout => Show in Tabular Form. But in Compact Form with Expand/Collapse Buttons the Matrix Visualization will be awesome!
- sean365New MemberThe Matrix is currently in Tabular Form and has no +/- buttons. Tabular Form Field 1 | Field 2 | Field 3 Compact Form Field 1 + Field 2 + Field 3

- shrivastav_ankiNew MemberPlease let us know whenever this feature gets added.
- dave_robinsonNew MemberExpand and collapse feature would be very useful. Also would like the abilty to select a customer within the matrix and have the other visuals slice based on customer select from matrix. This can be done via bar chart but would be way more functional and powerful to be able to select a slicer value within the matrix view.

This function would be a very useful extension. So please extend the Matrix chart for the collapse/uncollapse function
