Getting workspace name instead of cryptic string in SSMS connection
It would be super helpful to get a connection string in SSMS with the workspace name instead of the very cryptic string you get today :
Imagine being able to see:
server name : WorkspaceNameDev
server name : WorkspaceNamePrd
That would greatly improve this experience. I know that you can manually rename them in SSMS, but that is not really good in a larger team setting and makes onboarding of new developers a pain.

Super User
did you try SSMS 22? should already being like that https://blog.fabric.microsoft.com/en-US/blog/ssms-22-meets-fabric-data-warehouse-evolving-the-developer-experiences/ - anders_carlidNew MemberHi I see that I was a bit vague in my description. For warehouse connection i behaves as described in the blogpost you refer to. The issue is sql databases. Then it does not matter if i open in in SSMS 21, SSMS 22, VS code or any other tool. Just getting that cryptic string.
