The following command fails. The /Files/pubs/authors folder contains a single parquet file. This is the authors table from the pubs database.
Please see documentation on how it should work, but does not.
But the "table load" command only works if there is an existing table. We can manually create one by right clicking on the parquet file.
We can make a manual call to the rest api to get it work.
{
"relativePath": "Files/pubs/authors/part-00000-657844e4-6b11-4bbb-bab1-68ead9a5cb7e-c000.snappy.parquet",
"pathType": "File",
"mode": "Overwrite",
"recursive": false,
"fileExtension": "parquet"
}
Make URL path using workspace, lakehouse and table name. Use the -i to leverage json file.
In short, the work around is to call the REST API. But, what I really want is the "table load" command to work.
