The text box included in Power BI has very limited formatting options. The following items would make the text box more useful: -Bullet/Numbering -Spell Check -Strikethrough -Subscript -Superscript ...

Advocate IAgreed; Text boxes should share many of the same formatting options as typing an email. In addition, you should be able to apply shadows/effects to items like you can in other MS Products. I also agree that the selecting/highlighting in a text box is very awkward and frustrating at times.
