This would be a very useful feature, particularly when Power BI is embedded in another application. It would allow colour formatting information to pass from the host application to a Power BI chart so that the colour used to display the series matches a colour in the host application. Example: A host application manages a number of products and each product has an associated colour. When Power BI reports are created relating to these products, the colour of the series should reflect the colour of the product from the host application. We do this today with Dundas BI but would really like to see this feature in Power BI too.
