Document Maps were a core feature of SSRS and remain extremely valuable for large operational and financial reports. As organisations migrate from on-premises SQL Server reporting to Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, many are being forced to move away from Visual Studio and adopt Report Builder for paginated report development. At the same time, business users and leadership teams continue to expect detailed reports delivered in Excel and PDF formats.
Removing support for Document Maps in the Power BI Service takes away a fundamental navigation feature that has existed for years in the SSRS ecosystem. For large reports containing hundreds or thousands of rows across multiple sections, Document Maps significantly improve usability, making it easier for users to locate and navigate to the information they need.
Organisations are already adapting to new development tools and cloud-based architectures. Losing established functionality during that transition creates unnecessary regression in user experience. Please prioritise support for Document Maps in the Power BI Service to ensure feature parity with the SSRS capabilities that many organisations still rely on today.

Document Maps were a valuable feature in SSRS and remain important for organisations producing large operational and financial reports. As businesses migrate reporting workloads to Fabric and Power BI, many continue to rely on paginated reports and expect output in Excel and PDF formats.
Document Maps significantly improve report navigation, particularly for lengthy reports containing multiple sections. Restoring support for Document Maps in the Power BI Service would help organisations transition from traditional SSRS environments while maintaining a familiar and efficient user experience.
Please consider adding this capability to improve feature parity with existing SSRS functionality.
