Currently there is no possibility to get delegated admin rights for Power BI. This is a must have especially for smaller companies as they rely on external (Power) BI knowledge. They can give delegated admin rights for O365 and should be able to do so for Power BI also

- We have recently introduced a Power BI admin role that is separate from global admin role. You no longer need to be a global admin to administrate Power BI, and Global Admins can assign this role to someone else within the company using a PowerShell command. We are also working on a UI for this that will be available by the end of the year. - With the Power BI Service March Update Part 2 that includes admin usage reporting, having the ability to delegate PowerBI admin rights becomes a necessity. As an Office 365 Global admin for our Tenant, I want to give some of our business users access to the PowerBI Usage reports, but can't grant them global admin rights to the tenant.
- Provide a role for a Power BI only admin . Very difficult to manage without control and corporate policy restricts form having Office 365 admin rights.
- I think this is very important for enterprise. There is no way that a BI Lead Team or similar position would be a Office 365 Global Admin.
- It would be good to be able to audit the usage of data sets, reports and dashboards without being in the IT department. I don't have the role of being the Office 365 admin, but I might be responsible for tracking important reports and data sets, and giving them the 'rubber stamp'. Having a role that can see the new usage reports but also be a 'BI steward' like in Power BI Office 365 would be a good step towards 'Governed Data Discovery'

Yes. There should be the option to give someone a role of "Power BI Administrator" in O365 much like there are Limited Admin Access roles for Sharepoint, Exchange, etc.- Agree. We CAN'T give global admin rights to our Power BI admin. That would be insane.
- Owning all O365 global admin permissions to see only Power BI usage stats is too much. Could you please develop a Power BI only sector of permissions to be assigned by the O365 global admin to a Power BI user of the company? So it can see the report usage stats without the risk of messing up other O365 areas.
- Power BI admin should not require O365 Global Admin. Need to delegate Power BI admin without surrendering full access to entire O365 suite. That makes zero sense.
