Hello, we create excel pivot tables sourced from Power BI while Power BI reports are sourced from Google BigQuery tables. The excel pivot option to sort fields in 'Data Source Order' is grayed out. Our reports are massive and executive leadership is asking if the excel pivot fields could sort in data source order to make easier navigating hundreds of fields.
Another issue is that excel drill down detail appends new fields at the end. Again, the pivot tables are sourced from Power BI while the main data source is Google BigQuery. The original set of fields in a pivot drilldown detail was sorted in data source order but any new fields are just appended at the end. New fields are added in a certain order in BigQuery, however, that order gets lost when data is refreshed/loaded into Power BI report and viewed via Excel pivot tables.
