Allow report / dashboard owner to customize what is in the body of the e-mail when a user gets an 'alerts'. This way a user can get more about the threshold that was just crossed.
The body of the alert should allow the inclusion of dynamic content. For example, the ability to dynamically summarize recent changes in a report.
