Custom Power BI access request pop-up

As a multiple workspace & multiple report owner I'd like to have an option to customize access request message, that pops-up when other users trying to access viewing the report (not app, not build access, simple view!!!). Custom message should allow for markup/HTML language and should work natively in Power BI workspaces along with embedded reports.

  • Yes absolutely agree this is a needed feature. Getting multiple emails because am an admin of the gateway but I have nothing to do with the reports themselves or managing the access, so it's a waste of users time and my time that they are sending me emails due to an automated message.

I so need this to exist! Access to view a report needs to be customizable to specific scenarios. Like: Routing users that want to view the report to get access through a specific person that is a stakeholder of the report Routing users that want to view the report to get access using an ELM package This is for viewing the report, not build or any other type of access.
  • Voted, as the app is the only current supported method. Thanks for taking time to vote for change in the community.
  • 100% need this, users requesting individual access is a pain because it's so easy but if your using groups and RLS this doesn't complete the process in a company there should be a way to customise the prompt and direct the user through the right process. I have to decline the request (which upsets them, then message to say I've approved but through the right channel)
  • In a large organization, access to reports is granted by submitting a request to add a user, for example, to an AD group. Such a request can then be redirected to the team that grants access. Unfortunately, without a report-level functionality that informs users where to request access, PowerBI teams in large organizations struggle with a lack of time to manually process such requests. The same functionality available for APPS and the Semantic Model would be a golden solution for REPORTS. Users want access to reports more often than to the Semantic Model, so I express my interest and request that this functionality be added to Reports.
