I'm using Power BI for my organization now but I notice there are a number of features it lacks vs Tableau. One extremely useful feature is the ability to subscribe to a report and receive an email only if the report is not empty. I will check if there's another workaround to accomplish this but I need to be able to create exception notifications without sending false positives or blank reports.

The idea I link to is older than this post I am commenting on, but this post has more upvotes. Enterprise use case: We distribute operational Power BI reports to large recipient groups. Empty reports create alert fatigue and reduce trust in reporting signals. We need conditional subscriptions (row count > 0) to align report delivery with actionable conditions. Currently implementing via Power Automate + DAX gating, but this adds unnecessary orchestration complexity.
