If you could give readers of a report or dashboard the opportunity to comment on the figures they see, it would add enormous value.
Thinking it would be great to be able to preset a table for accepting the inputted fields. So the table has the fields to be recorded and then by using a function similar to drill through allows you to add input to fields with the other fields drawn from the table chart cell selected when opening the store commentary function. Ie chart shows sales variance to last year by customer by product category. You select customer ABC a category PENS. Variance $500. Then select store commentary a simple form is shown with the fields pre populated for customer product category variance $500. With non populated fields available for entering data text according to field properties. Reporting is based setting up reporting. Or an option to show matching comments. This way you should then be able to show the top x relative comments on report levels up from where the comments are stored.
