When a buttons current have default states, On hover and on press states. Please add an "on action" state so that when someone selects the button with an action they can change the fill color to 60% transparency in order to show the button was selected. Right now as a work around I put a button on top of a button, one with no transparency and one with transparency and I hide certain ones with the bookmarks.

- deepu2108New MemberI agree ,this feature would help a lot
- jlfloryNew MemberThis feature is badly needed. I use buttons for controlling selections on the same page and allowing the user to SEE that a button is selected would be extremely helpful.
- Sean_Polk2New MemberYes, it is middle of 2021 and still the only solution is to create bookmarks. I long road around just to get to a simple color change. Microsoft....just add a "selected" option to the drop down! No need for thousands of votes on this topic...it should be obvious that this is needed.
- david_combsNew MemberThis feature is needed to be able to create custom navigations and show the user which button they are on.
- Mohammad_YOUSAFNew Memberlooking forward it to ..., it is good for page navigation where the header remains same.
- guillermo_alvarNew MemberIt's ridiculous that we need to do workarounds to have this functionality.

2023....my comment is still above and nothing has been changed yet. They have every other "state" possible on the button options but an obvious one..."unselected" is still not there. If they combined the other votes on this (that describe the same issue) maybe it would get some traction. But as stated above...this should not need thousands of votes...it's obvious that it needs this feature.
- nishalitNew MemberThe idea here is that when user click on a button that the button stays-on showing to the user that she has made a selection. Add a new feature under default state, on hoover, on press and disable, such as "selected state".
- nishalitNew MemberWhen we add buttons we get the option of changing the formats when they are hovered or pressed. There either be a default or a feature to change the buttons appearance when its selected so in case of multiple buttons on a page the viewer can easily identify which button is selected or what data is being viewed
