Azure Maps scale ruler

The suggested action has been provided (Azure map does not show the scale rulers - Microsoft Fabric Community), but the scale ruler still appear to be missing in the Azure Maps visual.  Credits: PhilippeGR johnbasha33

• TomTom base maps: Used underneath Azure Maps

• TomTom UI: Includes scale ruler (mi/km)

• Azure Map (Power BI visual): No current support for a scale ruler display

• User Need: Scale bar helps with spatial orientation and distance estimation

Current Workaround: None — it's not available as a toggle or setting

Suggested Action

This is a valid feature gap, and your idea to make the scale ruler switchable via map settings (e.g., On/Off toggle) would provide both:

• Better user context for distance

Cleaner visual layout if turned off
