Hi Community,
Currently, the new Card visual in Power BI allows us to display values in a clean and modern way, but it lacks interactivity beyond filtering, this limits its usefulness when we want to create more dynamic report experiences, such as linking directly to external resources or related pages.
I suggest adding a formatting option that enables assigning a clickable web URL to a specific field within the Card visual, this could be implemented in the Reference label section, where report designers can select which value should carry the link.
With this enhancement:
- Clicking on the card itself would continue to behave as a filter, preserving current functionality.
- Clicking on the designated field (Detail) would open the assigned web URL, providing a seamless way to connect visuals with external content.
This would give report designers more flexibility, improve navigation, and allow richer storytelling by connecting Power BI reports directly to external resources without sacrificing filtering behavior.
Thanks for voting 🙌 Together we’ll make Power BI better.

- dannecrRegular VisitorThis feature is absolutely a must‑have for the new Card (New) visual in Power BI. Being able to assign a clickable web URL to a specific field—without breaking the card’s native filtering behavior—would massively improve usability and open up far richer navigation and storytelling options. Right now, the lack of hyperlink support really limits scenarios where cards could serve as lightweight navigation tiles or quick‑access links to external systems (documentation, SharePoint, SaaS tools, drill‑outs, etc.). Meanwhile, does anyone know of a workaround?
- mashcdaiRegular VisitorHaving a clickable title or tiles on new card visual is much needed. I'm surprised to know there is no such feature in the new card visual
- Kate_DeJesusRegular VisitorI'm shocked they didn't ship this with the new card visual updates. This is a must-have for us to create tile-like navigation and create interactive tiles within Power BI.
