I will often use ratios in my tables and I would like to be able to allow a user to point at a value/cell and see the tooltip of the numerator and denominator so they have a frame of reference rather than having to include the numerator and denominator in their own columns. Also, I'd like to be able to add tooltip descriptions to column headers so users are able to get a description of how a column is calculated and what it means.

- I need a facility to show the value instead of the URL in a table.
- I need this so that I can hover over a grade and show the comment associated with it from a different field in the same table.

- We really need to be able to add a tooltip to the column header. It is often necessary to add a description to a specific column, and this is far from easy to accomplish. Ideally one should have the option to add either a fixed text or a measure.
- Agreed. I've got a matrix where there's not enough room in the row headers to expound on their detail.

- Having it for table values by column would be ideal -- if Matrix visuals already support this (albeit not a clean implementation), then why not Table visuals? Furthermore, to have even column specific header tooltips, like Excel's comments, would be invaluable to end-users.
