Add query folding for Active Directory

I need to query an huge ad and I'm getting timed out because I cannot do this filter earlier to the request

Yes, I need load data from a specific OU, not all OU's

Currently, accessing active directory data from Power BI seems incredibly inefficient. To get equivalent data, a query using LDAP that completes in seconds will take up to several minutes using Power BI.

Would be much appreciated If you would allow custom ldap-filtering or some way to filter objects before fetching all the data from AD

This is seriously needed! being able to use LDAP filters will not only speed up queries astronomically, but it will allow far better debugging and code re-use / sharing.

Yes please add this. Would be super efficient to only pull in the objects I'm interested in from a specific location vs the entire directory. Our AD is so cluttered from a decentralized administration model (large university campus) that never gets cleaned up that it makes PowerBI appear like it's slow when it doesn't need to be.

This definitely needs done! I'm querying over 500k users for reports across multiple domains and need to be able to filter this dataset BEFORE it comes to the report server.

I agree, this is a must. In our domain I'm struggling to get some data for more than 8 hours, I see the row counter increasing one by one and still didn't reach 200k. :(
